Envisioned to explore future real-time and near-real-time earth-observation data applications to support governance and planning needs in Odisha and beyond.
Rambas–Sankalp 1 is a forward-looking Earth Observation mission concept envisioned by SpatiEdge Technologies Private Limited as part of its long-term strategic roadmap in space-enabled geospatial intelligence. The initiative reflects an intent to contribute, at an appropriate stage and in a compliant manner, to India’s evolving national space ecosystem through authorised participation.
The concept explores the potential use of satellite-based remote sensing, including optical and radar imaging, combined with downstream geospatial analytics to support public-interest applications such as environmental monitoring, agriculture and natural resource management, infrastructure planning, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience.
Rambas–Sankalp 1 is currently positioned at a conceptual and preparatory stage. Any future progression of this initiative—covering design, development, deployment, or operations—shall be subject to applicable national space policies, regulatory approvals, and formal engagement with duly authorised institutions, agencies, or industry partners within India’s space ecosystem.
SpatiEdge acknowledges the role of IN-SPACe as the nodal body facilitating and regulating private sector participation in space activities and affirms its commitment to alignment with national frameworks, technical standards, and governance mechanisms as prescribed from time to time.
Disclaimer: Rambas–Sankalp 1 is a conceptual future initiative. No satellite has been launched, procured, or commissioned under this name. No claim of partnership, endorsement, authorisation, or regulatory approval by IN-SPACe, ISRO, or any other authority is implied.
